This pilgrimage commemorates the life and passion of Jesus Christ through the mysteries of the rosary. originally constructed in the late 17th century, the path follows a historic trail leading to the ancient temple of the goddess Tonantzin Coatlaxopeuh. Though these sacred structures predate the surrounding modern neighborhoods, seven fell into disrepair over the centuries and were faithfully rebuilt at the turn of the 21st century.
